Lately I've had quite the love affair with roasted broccoli spears. My 15 month old loves them too, so we've been eating a full tray of roasted broccoli at dinner time to go along with whatever else we've got on our plates that night.
I must admit that I didn't really 'get' smoothie bowls when they first started popping up on my social media feeds. Sure, they were gorgeous hues of green, pink and purple with tasty toppings, but isn't it just a smoothie, in a bowl?
These oven roasted yams with simple salsa are the definition of less is more. When our neighbour Johana first brought them over to our house for dinner a couple months ago I couldn't believe that it was 'just a roasted yam and garden fresh salsa'. The flavours were so bold and tasty.
